Client Spotlight: AC Esthetics & Wellness

Adamaris Cabrera, founder of AC Esthetics & Wellness, the journey into aesthetics began with something deeply personal, her own struggle with severe acne.

Like many of the clients she now helps every day, Adamaris experienced firsthand how challenging skin conditions can affect confidence and emotional well-being.

“In my late teens and early twenties, I struggled with severe acne along my jawline and cheeks,” she shares. “It affected my confidence so much that I felt like I couldn’t truly be myself. I would hide behind makeup, avoid eye contact, and became very critical of my own skin.”

After trying dermatologists, med spas, and countless treatments without success, Adamaris decided to take matters into her own hands.

“I finally said, ‘I’m going to fix my own skin.’ That’s when I began researching nutrition, internal health, and the science behind acne. I realized that acne isn’t only about what’s happening on the outside, it’s also about what’s happening inside the body.”

That discovery led her to esthetician school, where she made it her mission to become an acne specialist.

Today, that mission has grown into a thriving skincare clinic. AC Esthetics & Wellness now operates from a storefront location with a team of six, all personally trained by Adamaris through an intensive eight-week training program. She continues to mentor her team while overseeing treatment plans and guiding client care.

“Our philosophy is simple: We meet every client exactly where their skin is.” she explains. “No two skins are the same, so we don’t rely on rigid protocols. We customize everything. Sometimes that means blending approaches or adapting treatments based on how the skin responds.”

Her dedication to education and customization is also what drew her to partner with Lira Clinical.

“I was looking for a line known for advanced chemical peels, and Lira stood out immediately,” Adamaris says. “But what really kept me with the brand is the education and support. From the Protocolopedia book, online classes, podcasts, and in-person training, there’s always more to learn.”

Currently, one of her favorite in-clinic treatments combine Vita Brite and Green Power for spring skin renewal, while PRO Lite Serum remains her must-have retail product.

Beyond treatments, Adamaris is passionate about mentoring the next generation of aestheticians.

“Education is everything in this industry,” she says. “And don’t be afraid of retail. Home care is how we truly help clients achieve results.”

At the heart of her work is something even more powerful than clear skin.

“The most rewarding part is seeing a client look in the mirror and finally feel confident again. When someone tells you that you’ve changed the way they feel about themselves, that’s everything.”

Adding to the excitement, AC Esthetics & Wellness was recently nominated for Best Skincare Clinic in the East Bay, Northern California, based on top Google ratings, a reflection of the dedication Adamaris and her team bring to every client they serve.
