If you ask Maddy Stanley what she planned to do in life, the answer used to be microblading.

Spoiler alert: it did not go as planned.

“I did my first set of brows… and I hated it,” she laughs. And just like that, a pivot was born.

What started as a college side interest (and a lot of sorority eyebrow shaping) quickly turned into something deeper. Maddy traded in lecture halls for treatment rooms, and found her real calling: skin, connection, and confidence.

The Glow on Studios Philosophy (Hint: It’s Not Just Skin)

Maddy isn’t just about treating acne or building routines, she’s building relationships.

Her mission?

“I just want to be a safe place for my clients.”

And she means it.

From stress and sleep habits to breakups and burnout, Maddy takes a whole-human approach to skin. Because in her world, skincare isn’t surface level, it’s personal.

Having gone through her own experience with cystic acne after becoming an esthetician (talk about plot twist), she gets it. Like, really gets it.

Community Over Competition (Say It Louder)

When asked what sets her apart… she politely declined the premise.

“I don’t love that question,” she says (iconic).

Maddy is firmly in the community-over-competition camp, learning from fellow estheticians, sharing knowledge, and lifting others up along the way.

Because let’s be honest:
Everyone has skin.
Everyone needs help.
There’s room for all of us.

 Treatment Room Favorites

Lately? She’s been having a moment with the Pure Peel (yes, even after side-eyeing it at first).

Now it’s a go-to, especially paired with hydration and barrier-loving support.

Moral of the story: don’t judge a peel by its smell.

Retail Ride-or-Dies

If Maddy could build a skincare starter pack, it would include:

The Story That Stuck

One of Maddy’s most meaningful client journeys?

A young client struggling deeply with acne and self-confidence. With consistency, care, and a plan that worked with her life, not against it; everything changed.

Clear skin, yes.

But more importantly?
Confidence, connection, and showing up again.

Now she’s going to events, smiling more, and living fully.

That’s the real Glow Up.

Maddy keeps it honest:

And retention?

“Just be a good person.”

Simple. Not easy, but simple.

Rapid Fire (because we had to)

Favorite ingredient: Plant stem cells (science nerd moment unlocked)
Coffee or matcha: Matcha (skin-first decisions only)
Brand in one word: Healing

Maddy Stanley is proof that sometimes the path you don’t love leads you exactly where you’re meant to be.

And in her case, that’s helping client’s glow, inside and out.
