Jose Hernandez - The Man Behind Dermadonis Aesthetics Lab

Just north of Bakersfield in the heart of Kern County sits Dermadonis Aesthetics Lab, a sleek, modern studio created by licensed esthetician Jose Hernandez - the visionary proudly known as the man behind the brand.

Jose didn’t begin in skincare. He was a real-estate transaction coordinator until the pandemic pushed him back home, where he reconnected with his mother, a Mary Kay skincare director of 35 years. Watching the woman who built their family’s path out of field labor struggle during lockdowns awakened something in him. What began as helping her with digital marketing turned into a deep passion for skincare, education, and eventually esthetics school.

By October 2022, Dermadonis Aesthetics Lab opened, every element of it designed, branded, and built by Jose himself. “I wanted Dermadonis to be a true brand, not just a place,” he explains.

Today, his clientele is as diverse as his community:
business engineers, local entrepreneurs, single moms, doctors, and outdoor laborers, all trusting Jose to transform, correct, and elevate their skin.

Looking ahead, Jose dreams of expanding Dermadonis, multiple locations, an aesthetics school, and perhaps a product line of his own. His message to his younger self remains simple and powerful:

“Trust God’s timing.”

And his message to the industry:

“Be authentic. You are the source of your business.”
