Courtney Kay brings a refreshing balance to aesthetics: she’s lighthearted, approachable, and always ready to have a little fun, but when it comes to her clients’ skin, she is focused.

As the owner of Courtney Kay Skin, Courtney has built her business around three words: Repair. Rebuild. Transform. That philosophy reflects her barrier-first approach and her belief that real skin transformation comes from consistency, not chasing every new trend.

Courtney’s journey into aesthetics began with a lifelong love of beauty, skincare, makeup, body care, and fragrance. After working in the corporate world, she knew she wanted something more. Once she performed her first facial in esthetics school, the direction became clear.

“I was hooked.”

Her introduction to Lira Clinical came through one of her instructors, but the connection quickly became personal. Courtney had experienced persistent redness for years and had always assumed, “That’s just my skin.” After incorporating Lira Clinical into her own routine, she saw a dramatic improvement, an experience that helped shape the way she now approaches barrier health, inflammation, and corrective treatments.

And Courtney definitely has her Lira favorites.

Living and working in Arizona also influences Courtney’s treatment approach. As summer transitions into fall, her priority is replenishing hydration and supporting the barrier before introducing stronger corrective products.

But her favorite client transformations aren’t always about a dramatic before-and-after. Courtney loves the moment when a client tells her they’re no longer thinking about their skin all day—or finally feel confident wearing less makeup.

That’s success.

Her advice for other estheticians follows the same focused philosophy: stop watching what everyone else is doing, put the blinders on, continue your education and work on your craft.

Courtney is practicing exactly what she preaches. After growing her studio in Gilbert, Arizona, she recently expanded Courtney Kay Skin with a second location in Scottsdale.

Courtney is proudly Team Pumpkin Spice, prefers a cozy night in, loves fall weather and says her treatment room’s Halloween costume would be a “cute girly ghost.”
