Meet Desiree De Los Santos: Building Confidence, One Face at a Time

Some people discover esthetics. Others are called to it.

For Desiree De Los Santos, founder of Desired Skin, the journey began with someone she loved.

"My husband had severe cystic acne," she recalls. "I watched him try everything, and I saw how much it affected his confidence. I just wanted to help."

At the time, Desiree had dreams of pursuing acting, but life had a different plan. After becoming a young mom, she began searching for a career that would not only support her family but also allow her to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

So she enrolled in beauty school with one goal in mind.

"I told my husband, 'I'm going to learn how to do eyebrows... and while I'm there, I'm going to fix your skin!'"

He became her very first client. Through consistency, patience, and plenty of loving reminders to wash his face and wear sunscreen, his skin transformed over six months. Even more rewarding than the physical change was watching his confidence return.

That experience changed everything.

Today, Desiree is preparing to open her very first storefront in Buena Park, California, a dream years in the making. But if you ask her what she wants clients to feel when they walk through the door, it has very little to do with skincare.

"I want it to feel like your friends are coming over. We're chatting, we're laughing, we're doing skincare together. That's the feeling I want everyone to have."

That philosophy has become the heart of Desired Skin. Whether she's helping a teenager navigate acne, guiding a client through healthy aging, or working with one of the many men who visit her practice, Desiree's mission is simple: help every person feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.

Choosing the right professional skincare line was just as intentional. During the pandemic, she spent months researching brands, testing products on herself, her husband, and her mom, three very different skin types. When she discovered Lira Clinical, she knew she had found something special.
